“Fire in, Fire out” as the saying goes. Starting with the right seeds is crucial to the whole process. Making sure to keep and eye on the temperature and humidity of the environment.
Making Clones
After the selected seeds begin to grow they take 3 to 4 weeks in order to really get into their vegetative state, which then continues over the next 15 to 17 weeks. We evaluate each of the new plants and pick ones that we wish to transition into mothers by perpetually keeping them in a vegetative state and begin the clone making process.
Moving them to the field
For our outdoor grow, we take all of the clones destined for outside and put them into the field. We also make sure to leave enough space between each of the plants. Our field is maintained with organic living soil techniques ensuring safe and clean environment for both the plants and ourselves to thrive in.
Hanging and bucking
We evaluate the growth of each plant utilizing microscopes, looking for determining factors in the trichrome structures. Once the color, shape and structure is optimal, it is time to cut them out of the field and take the buds off of the stocks. Doing this in a timely fashion is important so that our product remains “live fresh frozen”.
Adding them to the freezer
Once the buds and sugar leaves are taken off of the stocks they are weighed and labeled before being added to a freezer at the proper temperature.
